INFORSE – INTERNATIONAL NETWORK FOR SUSTAINABLE ENERGY

In this video we speak to INFORSE (International Network for Sustainable Energy). The International Network for Sustainable Energy is an international, non-profit organisation network of environmental organizations promoting sustainable energy to protect the environment and to decrease poverty.

Shovana Moharjan and Mary Swai both from INFORSE talk about how Africa is one of the 7 regions of the International Network for Sustainable Energy (INFORSE).

INFORSE works for implementation of sustainable energy solutions by exchange of information, awareness creation, formulation and implementation of strategies, and lobbying of international forums. The network is a meeting place for NGOs working at the grassroots level as well as at national, regional and international levels. The member organisations are all united on a common strategy for long-term sustainable development that phases out nuclear and fossil energy use.

Shovana Moharjan from INFORSE talks about how farmers has shifted to using organic manure and how this is a big step forward with regards to green techniques. By raising awareness of issues INFORSE are making massive steps forward for the world by the way we operate. Hundreds of millions of people still live below the poverty line both in Africa, south East Asia and other nations alike. With the introduction of bio gas, efficient energy use and the many other environmentally friendly solutions like solar dryers can vastly improve the lives of those who need it most.

Let’s support the in their good work and hope the awareness continues.
